The master

Last fall we succeeded in everything we did. Well almost at least, but when things are more on the positive side, stay there and focus on the less perfect things later.

Success was amazing and scary at the same time. You feel so good and at the same time you know, it might be (and most like is to be) over in a blink of an eye.

Lego, our harness racing pony, did well in all of his races coming home with a price each and every time. Viikari was in ridiculously good shape, he looked like he could literally fly. You should have seen him trot. It was beautiful!

Viikari has had his fair share of troubles along the way. Nothing major, but little hints of not being totally ok. Finally, he got diagnosed with osteomyelitis. The diagnosis felt like the end of the world at the time, but somehow we managed to conquer what felt like a massive obstacle.

We don't race often, but when we do, we win (or come in second, but who's counting). Well, I don't race. I'm just an enabler and a driver. All the credit to those who actually do the job!

Lahden ratsastajat (an 80-year-old riding club in south Finland) mini-champions in 2018 were *fanfares*, Viran Viekar (ie Mörkö, ie Viikari) & Tinka Halmeenmaa (pictured below), with result 63,571.
